Gleaning For The Hungry

 

AFTER THE FOOD IS GLEANED FROM THE FIELDS & BROUGHT IN FROM PACKING HOUSES TO AGAPE FOOD BANK TO BE SORTED, CLEANED & REPACKED FOR DISTRIBUTION TO ANYONE WHO IS HUNGRY, WE TAKE PRIDE IN MAKING SURE THE FOOD REACHES EVERYONE THAT IS IN NEED OF FOOD.

Apples are also brought in from farms & packing houses to Agape Food Bank & made ready for the long journey to Canada in semi trailers to Fraser Valley Gleaners where they will be dried & packed to feed a hungry world.

All the trucking from Washington state to Canada to Fraser Valley Gleaners is sponsored by Joseph Chow Trucking.

Once they reach Fraser Valley Gleaners 50 to 75 volunteers start preparing them to be washed & chopped up so they can be dried & added to soup mix & packaged to be sent to over 25 countries to feed those who have no food.

Onions are also brought in to Agape Food Bank from local farmers & packing houses to be sorted & repacked to go to Fraser Valley Gleaners to make dried soup that has 10 different kinds of vegetables in it & an average of 14 million servings is made each year to go to 3rd world countries.
